As part of the 2015 Amplify Festival in Sydney, we created a virtual-reality project where visitors were able to explore two entirely hand-drawn worlds.
Drawn by one of our in-house illustrators and designers, the project traverses between two immersive environments.
In the first scene, you find yourself in the Blue Mountains, caught in a flock of birds that playfully fly around you. The second scene takes you underwater to the Great Barrier Reef. The sea floor is alive with corals and Australian tropical fish are everywhere, in a wide range of shapes and colours.
This virtual-reality project was developed using Unity 3D and displayed on both Google Cardboard and Samsung Gear VR headsets.
