Memory of a Nation

Overview
Visitors to the Memory of a Nation exhibition at the National Archives of Australia in Canberra can view a range of documents relating to Australia’s past, including immigration certificates, photographs and drawings, as well as film footage and physical objects.

Lightwell carefully designed the touchtable interface so that visitors can easily browse and interact with this repository of fragile materials, without any concern for object conservation. 

The ‘show everything’ interface was developed in collaboration with Dr Mitchell Whitelaw from the University of Canberra.
