Overview
Lightwell worked with the National Capital Authority to develop a responsive web app and mobile tour for Blundells Cottage, a historic site on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra.
Visitors can use their mobile phones and QR codes located at the Cottage to access the web app. Once they have opened the website, they can navigate illustrated maps of the exterior heritage site and the rooms within each building in detail. Point of interest nodes scattered across the maps can be tapped to reveal pop-up stories with images and videos.
Other sections in the website include a Stories gallery, details of the heritage aspects of the historic site, and information on how to visit the cottage.
In addition to designing and developing the responsive web app, Lightwell also provided object and on-location photography for the project.
