Overview
Lightwell produced a series of multimedia components for the redevelopment of Bathurst Rail Museum.
The centrepiece of museum is a two-screen projected video illustrating the journey from Bathurst to Tarana. The show timing is integrated with the exhibition lighting and the model train set in the centre of the room. While the show isn’t running, a 10-minute idle state with picturesque footage of the Bathurst countryside creates a peaceful counterpoint to the show state.
Other pieces in the exhibition include a 15-minute video edited from a set of interviews focusing on life in Bathurst, and a push-button interactive that allows visitors to listen to a series of different train sounds.
