Overview
Lightwell developed a series of immersive soundscapes and video installations for the new exhibition at Old Dubbo Gaol. Productions developed for the exhibition include a large-scale video projections sitting in the Gallows gallery, four evocative ambient videos projected in the Male Division cells (‘Ghost’, ‘Night’, ‘Shoemaking’ and ‘Condemned’) and two immersive soundscapes in the Lunacy Cells and the Exercise Yard.
The Lightwell in-house team provided end-to-end production services for this project, including shoot organisation, cinematography, audio recording and post-production.
The project was awarded the National Trust NSW Heritage Award for Education and Interpretation in 2022.
